The week before Christmas, two stray dogs somehow got into our community and clearly needed help. With the help of many loving and caring Davidson East friends and neighbors, both dogs were rescued to safety. Endless attempts were made on social media, with shelters and the humane society and flyers posted nearby, but the owners did not come forward.
Junie is ready for adoption with Heather Hunt and her family in Summers Walk. Heather helped with the rescue out of the kindness of her heart. While visiting a friend in Davidson East, her and her daughter spent over 4 hours to help us safely trap her.
Heather took Junie into her home on a temporary basis and another family took In Buddy.
Many of you have asked how you can help. Please consider donating a small amount for the Hunt Family who have decided to adopt Junie. Donations will cover microchipping, vet care and some toys for her as she joins her new family!!!!
We are actively working with the humane society for permanent foster and adoption for Buddy so Stay tuned!
