Who am I? My 3 steps to eternal Life.
I. God is our creator.
John 1:1 - “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.”
Physical birth - May 7, 1956 in New York City - ask Mom and Dad, there are no accidents.
Born into the world, lived under the law of religion and in a prison of performance to be the best under man’s rules for acceptance.
II. Born Again.
John 3:4-5 - ”’How can a man be born when he is old?’ Nicodemus asked. ’Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!’Jesus answered, ’I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.’“
at 38 years old - my prison door is opened to Life - there’s a way out, accepted the Son of God Jesus as the pathway to eternal Life; became free to go my own way by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. One must make a change in the direction he is going in the world to escape man’s prison of performance.
Romans 8:9-10 - “I confessed with my mouth the Lord Jesus and believed in my Heart that He is the Son of God.”
III. Living the Life today at 67 years young - Stepping out of my prison gate into freedom - going out and making disciples of all nations. One must take action on the gift of Life afforded him, otherwise it’s just talk.
Psalm 119:105 - “He is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” No time to wait. Go!
Matthew 24:40 - “Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.”
