My name is Tena,
And let me apologize for how long this will be but I will definitely appreciate those who read this to the end.
I live in Raceland with my fiance ,and my disabled parents, along with our three fur babies.
I am a waitress , my fiance a shrimper ,and a carpenter, we provide care to my disabled parents ,we typically do ok just getting by .
But On Friday September 26th my dad had a stroke and he was rushed to Thibodaux Regional and then airlifted to East Jefferson Hospital and they did a life saving procedure. He had a blood clot in his brain that originated from his heart. They removed the blood clot and were able to restore the blood flow to his brain .
My dad had been on a ventilator and intubated for ten days he had pheumonia in his chest , fluid around the lungs, and swelling of the brain.
They had removed his ventilator two days ago ,but didn't really know where he would be physically or mentally , he has been doin well with breathing on his own , and keeping his heart rate steady ,
Me and my fiance share transportation , and have been choosing to go where we felt we were most needed ( the hospital ) , but In that we have both been out of work for the duration of this time.
My dad is in critical care , meaning they will not allow us to stay overnight, and due to certain HIPPA laws we can't get direct updates from the doctor unless we are there each day when they make rounds.
We have spent money we technically didn't even have (OUR RENT AND BILL MONEY ) to finance our v8 to make the trips to check on my dad in the mornings ,and back to check on our fur babies in the evening .
My dad's recovery will be a lengthy one , and I may be out of work for the foreseeable future depending on what level of care he will require when he comes home .
I have cried a hundred tears of worry ,not knowing how to navigate through any of this , and just hoping for a way to make it .
I have said a hundred prayers asking for God to heal my dad,but to also just make a way for us to keep going!
I will probably cry a hundred more tears just being selected for this at random
Because "LOOK AT GOD!!"
if you made it this far , I really appreciate you taking the time to read this ,
SERIOUSLY EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS , AND PRAYER IS APPRECIATED ...
