Hi, my name is Aly Wick, and I’m from Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.
I am fundraising for my dear friends, the Abudlal family in Gaza, Palestine.
Nour and Ahed are loving, devoted parents fighting every day to keep their 5-year-old son Nedal alive. Nedal is in urgent need of a liver transplant, and the family cannot access the medical care he requires while trapped under siege.
I want to share this beautiful family’s story with you — in Nour’s own words:
“Hello, my name is Nour and my husband’s name is Ahed.
We have a 5-year-old son, Nedal, who suffers from Alagille Syndrome — a rare genetic disorder that affects the liver and heart.
He is in liver failure and needs a transplant.”
“This disease causes malnutrition, and he needs a specific diet that we cannot access under the current conditions.
Because of the high bilirubin levels in his blood from liver failure, he suffers from severe itching and yellowing of his skin and eyes.
Nedal needs medications that are not available because of the war.
He also needs specialized milk and very specific foods to help him grow.”
"Because of the war, his medical case has been delayed again and again.
He needs an urgent liver transplant.
We are trying to apply for medical evacuation, but the occupation will not permit us to leave.
We lost our home and everything we owned in this awful war.
Please help us save Nedal’s life.

Nedal’s medical needs cannot be met inside Gaza.

💛 How Funds Are Used
All funds raised are sent directly to the Abudlal family’s bank account.
If the family is harmed — as so many have been in Gaza — the funds will transfer to the next surviving adult.
If, unthinkably, no family members survive, all remaining money will be redirected to other Palestinian families in urgent need.
