The Dog Rescuer Needs Rescuing.
Cora has spent her life being the voice for those who couldn’t speak. From the streets of San Francisco to the coastal stretches of San Diego, she has dedicated years to the rescue community, saving countless dogs and finding them forever homes. But today, the woman who has saved so many needs us to save her.
A Devastating Diagnosis
Recently, Cora received a life-altering diagnosis: Stage 3 HER2-positive breast cancer. What began as a concern has quickly turned into the fight of her life. Because this is an aggressive, form of cancer, her medical team is moving rapidly. Over the coming months, Cora will undergo intensive treatments including targeted "double-blockade" therapies, high-dose chemotherapy, and specialized infusions designed to stop the cancer's spread. She will also be seeking alternative and complementary treatments, none of which are covered by insurance. These treatments are physically grueling and require a long, difficult journey of constant medical appointments, recovery days, and monitoring.
