Where do you begin to explain the loss of such a big personality. On December 25, 2025, what started out as an amazing Christmas Day with laughs, presents and family, Melvin unexpectedly passed away at home leaving behind his adoring wife, Jenny and their two son's, Coltin and Wyatt. He was a devoted husband, father, uncle, friend and coach. His love for his family was on full display. He was prominent in the Pasadena sports world, giving much of his time coaching kids in wrestling and football. This devastating loss will leave a financial burden on the family that we would like to help alleviate. We are asking at this time for any donations to be made to the family to help them with these upcoming expenses. They need this time so they can spend their time focusing on healing. Thank you for your generosity during this difficult time.

On behalf of my sister, I want to take a moment to thank every single person who donated to help my sister and her boys during the loss of her husband and their father. Your generosity, kindness, and love have meant more than words can ever express. You’ve lifted a burden during one of the darkest moments of her life, and our family will never forget it.
Our community has shown just how incredible it truly is. The outpouring of love and support for my sister, her boys, and for Melvin has been overwhelming in the most beautiful way. It has reminded us how many people truly cared for them and how strong and compassionate this community is.
She and the boys are still grieving deeply and trying to find their new way of life without his presence. She is doing her best to navigate each day, and although she’s trying to return to work, it continues to be incredibly difficult — emotionally, mentally, and financially.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for surrounding her with love during this painful journey.
With Love, Chrissy

On behalf of my sister Jenny, I would like to send a big thank you to everyone who has reached out, shared, donated and contributed to their family. She is seeing your support and messages but is still not ready to reach out just yet. Please know just how appreciative she is of all of your kindness and generosity. This has been a devastating loss to her and the boys. What started off as the best Christmas day with the family ended so tragically.
Please feel free to share the obituary and arrangements for Melvin and please continue to share our posts as much as possible. Your love and support is definitely being noticed and appreciated. If you have any questions or concerns you may contact me but please let Jenny have this time with her boys.
