For as long as I can remember, my uncle Scott has been a pillar of our family and his community—a man who has always shown up for the people he loves and worked tirelessly to provide for his family. From officiating my and my brother's weddings to stepping in as a father role for countless friends and family members, he is among the most selfless, dependable, and loving men I've ever known.
Scott is the kind of person who would never ask for help, which is why I'm doing it for him.
He is facing a debilitating neurological illness, with doctors working to determine whether he is battling CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy) or other serious diagnoses. Despite receiving regular IVIG infusions and undergoing ongoing treatment, he has seen little improvement, and the severity of his symptoms has left him unable to work consistently. To add to the fear and uncertainty his family is already facing, the cost of medical care is only increasing as they search for answers.
We are asking our family, friends, community, and anyone who has been touched by Scott's kindness, laughed at his jokes, or witnessed the selfless love he's always shown to those around him to help carry him through this incredibly difficult time.
