My dad is fighting cancer, and our family is going through one of the hardest times we have ever faced. His condition has become very serious. His liver, bladder, and kidneys are shutting down. He is on dialysis and has a port for the medications and treatment he needs for his heart.
My stepmom has been by his side through every hospital visit, treatment, and difficult day. They have been together for 32 years. She is continuing to work full-time so they can keep their health insurance while also trying to care for my dad and manage everything at home.
The financial burden has become overwhelming. They are facing transportation costs, housing, utilities, groceries, medical copays, prescriptions, medical devices, dialysis expenses, and other everyday necessities. Even with insurance, many of these costs continue to add up.
We are asking for help so my dad can focus on getting the care he needs and my stepmom can be there with him without having to worry about how they will cover every expense.
