Love for Ava: A Leukemia Battle We’ll Win Together
Ava is a strong and kind hearted teenager who should be spending these last months of her 8th grade year making memories with friends and looking forward to high school. Instead, her world was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.
Her fight is just beginning, and it will be a long road.
Ava and her mother will be living in the hospital for several months as she undergoes intensive chemotherapy treatments. Each round of treatment will last about a month, depending on how quickly her body recovers. During these treatments, she must remain in the hospital the entire time. Between cycles, she may get small breaks to go home and rest before returning for the next round.
Doctors expect four to five treatment cycles, meaning many months of hospital stays and the physical and emotional challenges that come with fighting leukemia.
Despite everything, Ava continues to show incredible bravery and strength. She is facing this battle with the same sweet spirit that everyone who knows her loves so much.
As Ava focuses on healing, this fundraiser will help support her and her family during the long months ahead. Funds will go toward medical expenses, travel, time away from work, and the many unexpected costs that come with extended hospital stays.
Most importantly, this is about surrounding Ava with love and support as she fights.
If you are able to donate, share, or simply keep Ava in your thoughts and prayers, it means the world to her and her family.
Thank you for standing with Ava and helping her fight this battle against leukemia.
