The past 24 hours for Kate have been absolutely devastating. She never thought she’d ever be a single mother to four children, but when she found out her husband of ten years was cheating on her, this became her reality.
As a stay at home mom of nearly a decade, finding employment that pays a livable wage can be almost impossible. Thankfully, I’ve decided to give her a bit of a job at my salon, but I’m not going to be able to pay her anything near what she needs.
What I’m asking for is a bit of a cushion. A bit of starting money to get her on her feet, so she can start her new life and build herself back up. $1000 will be able to give her a bit of a buffer for bills and necessities, and help her redecorate her home a bit so she can build new memories on her own.
Kate is one of the strongest people I know, and one of the most fantastic and selfless mothers I’ve ever met. She’s a loving friend, a ride or die, and I’m beyond grateful to be able to call her one of my closest friends. Her husband’s infidelity was the last thing she ever deserved.
