Hi Family and Friends:

So, it has happened…we finally bought a house! As you might suspect, purchasing a house in Ukraine at this time was quite a process! This process started three years ago when we dared to dream with God about having our own house in which we could grow our family and better serve others.

Finding the right house was a lengthy and detailed process and involved exploring different options - from buying a piece of land and building on it to buying a house that we could move into right away. Unfortunately, we had to deal with dishonesty and misinformation by some of the home builders in Ukraine. People are not always honest about following code and using quality building materials. This house we selected meets our expectations.

The house we purchased is near the city of Ternopil where we currently live. It is a 1,290 square foot house on one floor with 3 bedrooms. The unfinished inside gives us the opportunity to make the inside features to fit our own needs and tastes. We will be hosting speakers and guests from around the world, and our home will be a ministry tool as well as a place to settle.

Some of you may be asking: why buy a house now and in a war-torn country? Our answer is that one must move on in life in confidence and faith in doing God’s work – the ministry we’re called to do - and there are great needs here.

We are super excited about this new chapter in our life. God is so good. He has done so many miracles in both our lives. It’s hard to believe that we finally are going to have our own home and will not continue to have to move often. We are so looking forward to filling that house with some joy and laughter and some good times - to see Emma grow there, to be able to host, to share about Jesus with our guests, and to conduct ministry to many people of all ages and background.

We are so grateful for the support you have provided to our ministry over the years. Our need now is to finance finishing the inside of the house; this involves sheet rocking, adding the flooring, plumbing, cabinets, and closets, etc., and purchasing appliances and furniture. We estimate that $75,000 should cover all those expenses. That is a lot of money, and we need a miracle from God. We have explored financing the finishing of the house by taking a loan, but we do not qualify for a loan due to our variable and relatively low income.

We would like to ask you to prayerfully consider making a special contribution to us for finishing our house. We need to raise $75,000 to complete the house and move in. The timing of your response is very critical at this time: prices here for this kind of construction work are going up every day, as a lot of the men who do construction and remodeling work have been mobilized to the war.

Upon making a special contribution, please write checks to: YWAM Accounting and, on a separate note, please specify that the funds should be designated to: Rosen Klepel. The address for YWAM is: YWAM Accounting/PO Box 3000/Garden Valley, TX 75771. You may also make a donation at:  https://give.ywamtyler.org/s/donation?missionaryId=7015f000001K7in or our website https://rosenandoksanaklepel.com

Thank you for all that you have done to support our ministry!

Rosen and Oksana

Oksana and I ask that you prayerfully consider making a contribution toward the completion of our home. As you may be aware, we (you) have made tremendous progress in funding completion of what will be our home and the center for our ministry. With our plans to move into our home in August, we are becoming increasingly concerned about being able to fund the final steps of construction and purchasing the final items needed for living in the house.

As an update, we can report that lights are in, electric sockets and switches are all in, the painting is all done, tiles and bathrooms are done. Flooring is done. We have ordered the kitchen cabinets, closet cabinets, and Emma's dresser. Those items will take time to build and should be done by late July. We are still waiting on some lamps to arrive. A car port is also needed, as we don’t have a garage.

We are starting to buy appliances (washing machine and dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, table, chairs, beds, and television.) We also paid half for the cabinets for our closet, Emma’s room dresser and drawers, kitchen counter and kitchen cabinets, and doors for the rooms. We need to pay the full amount for all the cabinets that are being made soon; our outstanding expenses total around $19,000.

We ask that you prayerfully consider offering to fund the purchase of one of the items above or donating to our home fund. You can do this using this link on Spotfund: http://spot.fund/kh3fqsc

YWAM Accounting. On a separate note, please specify that the funds should be designated to: Rosen Klepel. The address for YWAM is: YWAM Accounting/PO Box 3000/Garden Valley, TX 75771, or you may contribute via YWAM on-line at: https://give.ywamtyler.org/s/donation?missionaryId=7015f000001K7in

Finally, you can donate also through our website

Here is the latest update on the house project. We may be moving this summer to our house but still need finances to finish the project. We just completed the ceilings and finished painting all the walls. Next week, workers will start putting down the vinyl flooring, and it will be done at the end of April. Then, in May they will install light switches, plugs and lights. We have ordered the kitchen cabinets, closets, Emma’s drawers and wardrobe, laundry room cabinets, and office/guest room cabinets. We have ordered the doors but still need to order our closet door which is sliding door.

We still need to order and pay for the kitchen appliances, washing machine and dryer, and other items very soon. We need to buy those items soon because the cabinet makers need to know measurements of the appliances to fit all the cabinets around them. There are a number of items we need in addition to the structural and basic storage features of the house, including furniture (beds, chairs, a table) and various items like window blinds, mirrors, and appliances. Here are estimates of some items on our list of needs: TV ($900), a stove vent ($500), vacuums ($300), a freezer ($900), a stove top ($600), a dishwasher ($1,000), a sink garbage disposal ($450), a washing machine + dryer ($1,400), a refrigerator ($1,500), and a battery and inverter to have electricity during power outages ($1,800).

Perhaps you would be able to fund one of the specific items listed above or contribute in a more general way to our housing fund. (One donor purchased an oven, so we have money for that appliance.) In total, we still need $29,000 to complete the construction (including the car port) and to purchase those items noted above. We ask that you prayerfully consider offering to fund the purchase of one of the items above or donating to our home fund. You can do this using this link on Spotfund. http://spot.fund/kh3fqsc or https://give.ywamtyler.org/s/donation?missionaryId=7015f000001K7in

Would you pray for our efforts and, in particular, for funds for us to bring the house project to completion, and would you consider helping us in this effort by making a donation?

Thank you, and blessings to you and your family.

Update on our house:

Thank you so much for being part of our dream and helping it to come true. Even though we are not there yet, the process is going along, and we are trusting God in every aspect of it.

We had to redo numerous things in the house that we hadn’t planned to do. It has been pretty frustrating that a lot of things were not done properly by the builders, so we had to redo them; things like electrical wiring, the drainage system outside the house, leveling the floor and the walls, and other things like this.

Those things have taken extra expenses, time, and effort. But again, we are trusting God with everything.

We finished both bathrooms with tiles and plumbing. Ceilings are done. Flooring needs to be done, and the walls need to be painted. We have already talked to the furniture building company about kitchen cabinets.  As the situation is very much unstable in the country, everything takes a lot of time, and things needs to be ordered far ahead of time.

We still need finances for household appliances and furniture like beds, cabinets for the other rooms, couch, chairs, table. Also, a bunch of different things like window blinds, sinks, mirrors, light fixtures, and things like that are still needed. Also, we need a carport (as we don’t have a garage). And so, we still need $36,000 to complete the construction so that we can move in.
