Is for Baraa Ayman, and I write these words with a heavy heart from Gaza. The past few months have been some of the hardest and most difficult my family has ever faced.
We are three: pregnant mother, A father and Our daughter his two-year-and-eight-month-old in a time of fear, chaos, and destruction .
Our home—the place where we laughed, shared meals, and dreamed of a better future—was completely destroyed in the war.
In a matter of moments, everything we had worked for, every memory, everything we owned, vanished. We fled with nothing but the clothes on our backs.
Since then, every day has been a struggle for survival. Summer has arrived and we are in tents that offer no protection from the heat. Winter has arrived, and the cold is unbearable. We have no proper shelter, no warm clothes, and no way to protect the baby from the bitter winter nights. Finding food, clean water, medicine, and even basic baby necessities has become a daily battle .
