From Elia Read, the Read Family, and Shepherds Table:
With you, we can rebound!
Together we can continue to grow our food community here at Shepherds Table, in Our Neighborhood, and in Minnesota.
January and February have been devastating to many, and the ripples are felt throughout our small businesses and food world. The federal occupation and the violence they visited upon our city wounded all of us.
In the face of it all, Minnesotans have cared for each other with amazing courage and kindness. We’ve seen small efforts multiplied to create waves of hope. We showed that when we link arms, we cannot be broken.
The challenges continue, for our neighbors, our local businesses, and the producers, farmers, and providers connected with us.
We pride ourselves on being a community space, and always planned on opening additional seating next door in Summer 2026 to provide a reservable community space, a crucial third space for organizing and community to thrive outside of the confines of cost. December/January’s occupation arriving in our fourth month has been a massive wrench in the gears of a young business, and our plans to further grow for our community.
We come to you, encouraging your support. Lifting up your neighborhood shops and restaurants helps keep our Minnesota food world vibrant and thriving. We are all connected.
Every effort counts, all amounts make a difference.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, being your neighbor means everything to us.
