Will you help Merlin save his leg? He suffered an accident October 20th. After searching for him all night, he finally showed up on my back patio and I immediately saw he was in trouble.
We're not sure what happened, but he made his way home from a considerable distance with a broken leg & fractured jaw to wait for me to find him.
We've maxed out credit cards for his emergency care ($3000+) and paid nearly $1000 for follow-ups. He will need further surgery to save his leg, at a cost of around $2500. (For $500 it could be amputated, and for a lesser sum he could be put to death.) Beyond his leg issues, he will need further x-rays and surgery to remove fractured teeth.
Merlin has demonstrated his determination to live. He is loved by an extended family, including two brothers and their (formerly) feral mother, who have all become a part of our home.
His human family is now running out of disposable funds to bring him the rest of the way.
