Hi! I'm Emily and my BFF of almost 30 years is Jenny. We turn 40 in August and want to celebrate the entire year. I mean, why not?! It'll be a year of new beginnings, new memories, old memories, memories we forgot... you get the idea.
Unfortunately, all of this costs money. I am a preschool teacher - enough said. Jenny is a stay at home mom who is totally crushing it by taking care of her 3 teen/preteen girls. We do not get to spend a lot of time together due to chronic illness and other obligations, which is why we are planning the trips and other festivities.
Both sides of my family carry the adventure gene, and I really want to create new memories and enjoy what the world has to offer outside of our safe, Northern Kentucky bubble.
Here's some info on where we want to go or where we are already going:
1. Bermuda. My very generous aunt and uncle have offered us a visit. We will stay with them and not have to worry about food or drinks at home - I mean, I guess working for Bacardí had its perks! We just need to cover the airfare, possible hotel room as the longest leg of the cheapest flight is an overnight in Toronto, plus any extra activities.
2. We ARE road tripping to Michigan in November, but the cost is pretty minimal. Tickets for me, Jen, and our third new BFF to see and meet Fortune Feimster. Gas, food, extra things will need to be covered.
3. We are also hoping to visit places where people we know live to cut down on hotel/rental costs, but will still need food, drink, etc as well.
Sooo, absolutely no obligation to contribute, but feel free to share if you know someone who may. Every little bit helps, and hopefully by the end of the year my new journey will be successful and I'll be back on track to become self sufficient!
