Help Us Settle Into Our Dream Home

After literal years of paying off debt, saving money, and searching for exactly what we wanted; Alex and I have finally found our dream home!

I have lived in the same one bathroom, 840 sq ft house for 15 years. When Alex moved in, we made it work. 7 years, and 5 pets later— we have completely outgrown my little downtown bachelorette pad 🥹

We knew we wanted something we could grow into, have enough room to host our friends and family, let our dogs have a real yard, and hopefully one day raise kids in. That was not easy to find, especially these days when everything seems to be out of our means. However, we were patient, and prayed God would lead us to the perfect place for us. Saving, looking, let down; saving, looking, let down. We knew though that things would fall together just how they were supposed to when they were supposed to, and by the grace of God, they finally did 🥰

We have had a ton of friends ask about a registry, or Amazon wish list so they could gift us something, but honestly we’ve been living with enough so far. Could we use some little things? A new set of dishes, pots and pans, or knives… sure, but we do have those things now and the things we actually NEED are big things! Going from 800 to 3000 sq is quite a jump, so I’ve compiled a list of the things that we would actually need. We have a savings account that’s pretty much dedicated to house things that’s slowly but surely being depleted, so of course these things could be financed— but I figured if friends really wanted to get us some gifts, donating to these things would be so helpful.

Refrigerator — unfortunately, our dream house doesn’t include a refrigerator 🤣 so we DEFINITELY would need one of those asap.

Lawnmower — Considering we’ve never had a lawn, we only have a weed eater. We think we could borrow one for the time being, or hire somebody to come out, but it would be nice to already have one.

Dining table set — We’ve never had a dining room, and thus— we need a dining room table. Naturally we are entertainers, and I love to cook, and host so I’d love for our first dining table to be something that not only would last, but be big enough to fit a large group of friends and family.

We also need bedroom and living room furniture. Other than our amazing sectional sofa we bought 2 years ago, most of our house now is full of hand-me-down furniture I had been given when I was in my 20s. Furniture that’s meant to be used in small space, and most of it is at the end of its life 🤣 (all that to say, I am the MOST grateful for everything anyone has given me, and all of those things have been WELL LOVED and used).
