It was just two years ago this week that Lauren received her diagnosis
of Stage IV metastatic Breast Cancer.
The month before she was battling with on and off severe headaches. Then
the first week of July 2024 we found the reason.
She had Breast cancer and it had metastasized to her brain in the form
of 15 tumors. They were blocking her ventricles thus causing the brain
fluid to back up resulting in severe headaches. They placed a shunt to
manage the pressure from the brain fluid which resolved the headaches
but then the cancer battle began.
A bout of radiation then a regimen of Chemo treatments every 3 weeks.
Today it is clear she has responded well to this treatment as all her
reports have been excellent!
The treatments will continue every 3 weeks for the foreseeable future.
Lauren and Tom are so grateful for your prayers and generous financial
support for these last two years as they continue to work through a
backlog of bills.
They are also feeling truly blessed to welcome their 5th and 6th grand
children (number 7 due in September), Maggie and first grandson Matteo
as they continue this journey! Thank you all for your support!!
