My mom passed away on November 19 2023, after a long hard fought battle with Breast cancer. It took over in her brain in march of 2022. Recently we got news that she had a new mass in her lung area. Then we started fighting recurrent fluid in her lung. The Chemo she was put on after the new mass was found did not help at all. We all decided to try a different chemo but also talked about moving her drain tube because it wasn't placed in a great spot to get everything out. She had surgery 3 days ago to move the tube, or do a Pleurodesis. However when they went in they decided that the pleurodesis was not the right move because the mass was too big, and she now had fluid in both lungs. the night after I was on the phone with her and she did not seem right to me. However we had to wait for labs to know how bad she was. Her lactic acid levels were high and I knew I needed to get here to be with her. Sadly I was just a bit too late. There is no real good explanation of what caused her to pass other than cancer took over. I am sorry I kept everyone in the dark for so long but it was moms wishes. If you could donate due to this being so short notice and not having money to do what I need to get done for my mom that would be great if you can not donate if you could share so It gets more attention that would be great! Thank you all for loving my mom unconditionally and following along on this awful journey we had to endure.
