Greetings!
For the last few months, the kids and I have been on an unexpected journey. We were devastated to learn that upon treatment for an acute kidney infection, an underlying auto immune disease has caused massive damage to my liver, spleen and GI tract. This sent my system into liver failure in late January, leaving me currently at Stage 3 liver disease.... having to have a liver transplant within a year. With the stress on my body, the advisement from my liver specialist is to obtain insurance that will cover the procedures and operation needed while waiting transplant. This has left me in limbo with obtaining a full time job and the medical disability- I recently filed with the government and state programs and awaiting a resolution for temporary assistance. Unfortunately, it is a very lengthy process, as anyone knows dealing with this. I'm currently keeping my head up and have Harley, Abbey and Kadin there by my side, in addition to many family members and friends...
