This is my beautiful 26 yr old daughter and my disabled grandson Carter. My daughter Quinn just fled a DV situation. By doing so she left behind her financial security as it was her husband who was the abuser. He has since been arrested and charged with SA/DV & Battery against my daughter. There's a protection order in place since he's been released and also a court ordered restraining order preventing any type of contact. My daughter works hard. She makes $15.05 at Petco. She works full time and barely makes it now. She hasn't received child support although we have started the process. We've also just looked into getting disability for my grandson. But these things unfortunately take time. I watch my grandson so she can work. We are waiting for final approval for our new apartment in Salem but we have to come up with 1st, last and deposit. Almost 4k to move in. Also, we lost everything when we fled. We will need furniture, few more toys for Carter, high chair, bedding beds, and much more. As we have barely anything currently. I, as a mother, feel horrible I can only contribute at this time by helping raise Carter. I've always been self sufficient so asking for help is very humbling.

If you could find it in your heart to help we'd pay it forward once we get on our feet. We've reached out to organizations and did receive a DV grant but it helped us get emergency housing which was a roommate situation that isn't idealistic. We went from one unhealthy situation to another. We feel super blessed to have this opportunity to move into our own home. So Carter can finally have the stability and familiarity he desperately needs with his disability. Please, I am desperate to help my daughter, grandson and I all finally be happy and most importantly, safe. Anything helps! Thank you so much!
