On July 10, a major artery burst in my head and I had a massive hemorrhagic stroke. The doctors cut about half of my skull open and performed brain surgery on me. I spent the next few weeks in the hospital in ICU before being moved to acute care for another week. I barely survived and have some brain damage. The surgery was well over $200,000 and I owe over $50,000. I haven’t been able to work in months due to chronic vertigo and now I have this massive hospital bill on top of it. Additionally, my wife retired recently and I have to be on cobra insurance which is costing another thousand dollars a month.
