Shadowfax is my almost 12 year old German shepherd service dog who helps me with my PTSD and anxiety. Earlier this year we were told he has a tumor in his toe that needs to be removed by amputating the toe. My poor boy is in constant pain and unable to put weight on his hind foot. I am asking for help with the cost of the surgery as I am not able to afford it on my own. Shadow has been with me from the day he was born and means more than the world to me. I want to help him so that he can finally be pain free and happy again!

Shadow is scheduled for an evaluation followed by his amputation surgery tomorrow, Monday 4/14 at 8am!! As long as there are no complications found during the evaluation, he will be taken into surgery.

Nearly half way to our goal. Thank you! Shadow has pre surgery evaluation on Monday, 4/14 at 8am. We will find out then if the tumor has spread beyond his toe or if he will require further treatment after the surgery. I’m hoping we can schedule the operation soon so he will finally be out of pain and happy again. He’s kept his good nature through this whole ordeal, even tries to play on occasion despite how much it hurts. Please keep this special boy in your thoughts and hearts, keep sharing his story.
