I am a 62 yr old hard working women in healthcare, who is very passionate about caring for others, and have been a caregiver for over 30 yrs, it is really all I know.
I am healthy for my age and young in years, I work 40 hrs. Plus a week but despite my work ethic I still find it difficult to sustain the cost of living here in Maine, to be able to take care of myself, if it were not for my sister, I would most likely be homeless.
That being said , I am trying to relocate to the south, where the cost of living is much more conducive to my pay and closer to my grandchildren who often frequent visits to Florida, making it more convenient to spend time with them, without the additional cost of travel.
I have a small savings at this time but am trying to raise an additional $5000. Before December 1st. For moving cost .
Although I am very grateful for a safe place at this time, it is only temporary so I’m exhausting all possible resources for help to reach my goal.
