Help Us Give Him a Safe, Loving Forever Home
My wife and I are reaching out for help during one of the most important—and challenging—times in our lives. We are in the process of adopting my wife’s young nephew Rowan, a child who has already faced more hardship than most do in a lifetime.
Due to circumstances beyond his control, we stepped in to give him a safe and stable home. After a long and difficult legal process, we were able to gain full custody. In order to make that happen, we used every financial resource we had. It was never a question for us—we would do whatever it took to make sure he was safe, loved, and cared for.
Now, we are taking the next step: adoption. This will give him the permanent security and legal protection he deserves, but the legal costs for an adoption attorney are more than we can currently afford after everything we’ve already spent.
Rowan also faces ongoing medical and developmental challenges. Because his biological mother struggled with drug addiction during pregnancy, he may face long-term health concerns and developmental delays. We are committed to making sure he gets every bit of care, therapy, and support he needs to thrive—but we know this journey may come with additional medical and financial challenges in the years ahead.
We are also both 100% disabled Army veterans. We are proud to have served our country, but our disabilities do limit our financial flexibility. Even so, we are determined to give this child the loving, stable life he deserves.
We are asking for help to cover the legal costs of adoption so we can officially make him a permanent part of our family. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to giving him the future he deserves—a future filled with safety, love, and opportunity.
