I came out as transgender (female-to-male) when I was 11 years old. Since coming out, I have always known that my biggest needs were to go on testosterone and to get top surgery. Now, at 21 years old, and after 10 years of dreaming of having this surgery, I have been on testosterone for 3 years and finally have gotten my top surgery scheduled for August 3rd, 2026! Getting to this point has been difficult; I have experienced many medical and personal hurdles that have continued to push my top surgery date back. Now I am extremely excited for my top surgery and cannot wait to feel at home in my body!
Now my biggest barrier is being able to afford surgery. I am a full-time college student, and during the school year I work part-time at my university, and during the summer I work full-time as a Drama Instructor. So, I am creating this fundraiser to ask for help with paying for the surgery, surgery expenses, and to help with paying for my bills during the time that I will be out of work to recover.
