We are in an emergency situation right now, and I’m reaching out with a very heavy heart. My family and I currently live in a hotel, and while we do have a storage unit for some things, we simply cannot move everything we own into it. Unfortunately, our checks have not come yet, and we’re left in a really desperate spot where we don’t know how we’ll be able to cover the cost of the next few nights here. If someone could help us with at least two nights, or even more, it would mean the world to us.
This is not easy for me to ask—I’ve always been the one trying to give and help others when they were down, whether it was food, pet food, money, rides, or simply being there when someone needed support. I believe with my whole heart that when you put good out into the world, it comes back to you. Right now, though, I find myself on the other side of that, needing help instead of being the one giving it.
Any kindness, big or small, would make a huge difference for us during this difficult time. If you’re able to help, you can even call the hotel directly to pay, which may be easier for some. Please know that this is very hard for me to even write, but we truly have no other options right now. Your generosity could help us keep a roof over our heads while we wait for our checks to come in, and I would be more grateful than I could ever put into words.
