On January 8th, 2020, a devastating accident changed the course of one individual's life forever. Rear-ended by two cars at 40 miles per hour while at a complete stop, the impact pushed them a full car length into the vehicle in front, causing immense physical and emotional trauma.
This individual showed incredible selflessness by switching shifts with a pregnant coworker in need, putting their well-being on the line to ensure her safety. After the accident, their resilience led them to work through debilitating pain, despite their doctor initially claiming no injuries. Despite co-workers stating “you survived? Such a shame”.
The subsequent diagnosis of post-concussive syndrome, migraines, seizures, and multiple back procedures, including neck surgery to remove their c6-c7, have left them with chronic pain and limited mobility. Mounting medical bills, coupled with job loss due to their head injury, have created a financial crisis.
Living with pain, limping, enduring migraines, and facing the emotional burden of PTSD and depression, they continue to push forward. However, their health condition has left them feeling unemployable, despite their desire to work.
Your support can provide hope for this resilient individual as they face another expensive surgery for their neck in the near future. Let's come together to show them that they're not alone and that people still believe in their potential.
Living with pain, limping ( due to both knees with injured acl’s that could be fixed. ) enduring migraines, and facing the emotional burden of PTSD and depression, they continue to push forward. However, their health condition has left them feeling unemployable, despite their desire to work. Refusing to go on permanent disability, because she can not sleep at night, knowing someone has it worse. Living by a quote taught long ago “I cried because I had no shoes, until the day I saw the man who had no feet”.. she refuses to take, knowing someone else suffers.
