On Friday evening, Memphis's laughter filled the air as she enjoyed ice cream with a friend at Ziggy’s. It was one of those sunny spring days in Grand Blanc, Michigan. But as she headed home, her world was turned upside down. Memphis was struck by a car, and now she lies in critical condition at Hurley Medical Center. The shock feels like an endless echo, leaving all of us searching for light in this unexpected darkness.

Memphis, a beloved 12-year-old , is a beacon of kindness and joy. Her laughter is contagious, and her sweet spirit lights up every room. To see her so still, surrounded by hospital monitors, is incredibly painful. She has always shared so freely of her love and excitement for life, and her family is clinging to that vibrant spirit now more than ever.

As we navigate this challenging time, the support and love from the community means the world. We are facing significant medical expenses, loss wages, and so much more. As a community we all want Memphis to get the care she needs to heal. If you are able, please consider donating. Your gift is much appreciated.

Update from the Family:

There are no words strong enough for the heartbreak we are living through. My beautiful baby, Memphis Skye has gone to heaven after a tragic accident.

Memphis was the sweetest soul — goofy, loving, and the kind of spirit everyone wanted to be around. She brought laughter everywhere she went and loved her sisters and brother with her whole heart. Being her mama has been the greatest gift of my life.

In the middle of unimaginable pain, Memphis was able to give the gift of life through organ donation. Even in her passing, our girl became someone else’s miracle, and that is exactly who she was — full of love, light, and compassion.

We are completely shattered, but we are holding tightly to the love she gave us and the memories she leaves behind.

The outpouring of prayers, support, messages, meals, hugs, and love has meant more to our family than we could ever put into words. I’ve always believed our circle to be small and for years, I’ve believed I need to do everything on my own and rely on no one else but this has shown me that not only is our circle bigger than I believed, but that we really do have a community of people and I cannot say enough how blessed we are.

Please continue to keep our family — especially Talena, Julian and Chevelle — in your prayers as we try to navigate a world without "Bunny" in it.

I love you forever Memphis, and I’ll look for you in the Skye.
