Katherine Thomas (Lester) is one of the bravest, kindest women I know. She has spent years fighting for children and families impacted by the child welfare system and after her own heartbreaking experience she chose to turn her pain into purpose. Katherine continues to fight for own grandbaby while fighting for others. She has spoken at events + conferences, in front of legislators and constantly stands up for families, and lending her hand to anyone who needs help. If you need a court watcher, she's there, an ADA advocate? She's there and none of this would be possible without the support and love from her wonderful husband.
Katherine and her husband Bart have opened their hearts and home to foster children of friends in need. They have stood by their daughter through dark times and celebrated her journey to sobriety and thriving health. Their family gives generously, donates to others, and lives their faith every single day.
Now, they are facing their own battle. Mr. Thomas has been diagnosed with the big C, prostate cancer. Though they are people of faith and determination, this diagnosis brings heavy burdens. They both are self employed which means no unemployment insurance or any of the usual safety nets.
They have always been there for others. Now it’s our turn to be there for them. I am asking for any love, support, donations, shares, likes, and prayers for The Thomas Family.
