Hi everyone,
We’re reaching out on behalf of our daughter Skye and our grandson Sage. They’re in a tough situation right now and urgently need support to secure a safe and stable home.
Skye is a hardworking single mom who’s been doing everything she can to rebuild. She started a stable new job back in May and is fully committed to supporting herself and Sage. But after a series of personal and financial setbacks, she needs help getting over this next hurdle.
Right now, they’re living in Yamhill, but Sage’s school is in Portland — over an hour away. Once school starts on August 26th, Skye will be making long daily drives to make sure he gets to class. On top of that, she also has to commute back and forth from Yamhill to North Portland for work even when Sage is with his dad. The emotional and financial toll of this situation is piling up fast.
We’re hoping to raise $5,000 to help cover:
• First and last month’s rent
• Moving expenses and basic household needs
• Short-term family support while they transition into a safer, more stable home closer to school and work
This isn’t about a handout — it’s about helping a mom and her son get through a tough chapter so she can fully stand on her own. Skye has the job, the plan, and the determination. She just needs a bridge.
If you’re able to donate, share, or send words of encouragement, it would mean the world. Every bit helps — and all funds will go directly toward helping Skye and Sage land safely.
Thank you so much for your support.
