Goyee! Hola! Hi!
I am reaching out to the community — especially those with accumulated, generational, or abundant wealth — to support me in an important healing journey this summer.
I am a trans Mexican Indigenous woman, an enrolled member of the Lipan Apache Tribe, and of Julime/Jumano/Chiso ancestry. For the past decade, I have worked in advocacy, direct support, research, and humanitarian accompaniment for trans, Native, and immigrant communities across Mexico, Central America, the U.S.–Mexico border, and within my own community in Texas.
Much of my life has been devoted to caring for others — accompanying migrants, supporting trans survival work, teaching university students, volunteering at animal shelters, and working with my tribe and community to bring ancestors held in museum collections home. I also work three jobs and have limited time to care for myself.
This summer, I am choosing to take major care of myself. This procedure will bring happiness into my life!
I will be traveling out of state for a medical procedure and will need support covering meals, travel, and lodging while I am away from home. As a contractor and university professor, my income is not salaried or protected by leave, so this support makes a meaningful difference.
If you are in a position to contribute, your support will directly help sustain me through this healing process.
Every contribution — large or small — is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for supporting Indigenous trans care, healing, and continuity. 🤍
