My daughter Hailey was admitted to the hospital on April 1, 2024 with multiple health problems. She was severely septic from an infection in her belly that we later found out was a condition called Spontaneous Bacterial Peritonitis. The infection moved to her blood stream causing the sepsis. We also found out that due to many years of drug use she now has cirrhosis of the liver. (My sweet girl is only 29 years old. 😢)
She spent 4 days in ICU at Hugh Chatham before being transferred to Forsyth where she spent another 13 days. The number of tests and procedures that were done were immense along with which will come astronomical bills.
Hailey has been clean for 19 days now. I know to many that may not seem like a long time, but after all of the years she has struggled with addiction, this is incredible! She is determined to beat the addiction! But, now along with that she will be dealing with life long health issues from the recently diagnosed conditions. I have brought her into our home and we plan to help her all that we can. Her goals are to get better, beat addiction and go back to school!
Hailey has health insurance but we all know how well most of it pays….enough said. So I’m creating this fundraiser to help pick up what insurance don’t, and to help pay for her medications. She has no income coming in right now, so we will need all the help we can get to keep her well. Any amount you can give will be appreciated more than you will ever know. However, if you cannot give financially, we ask that you just send your prayers. She has a long journey ahead of her but with everyone love, prayers and support I know that she will do great things!
