My son passed away unexpectedly on August 11, 2025. We traveled over a thousand miles to see him one last time before the autopsy was performed. We made the necessary final arrangements there, as the cost to bring him back to Indiana was astronomical. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay long enough to retrieve his remains, so we returned home. We planned to go back after the funeral home contacted us. Our return date is August 31, 2025, to pick up his remains and bring him home.
If you would like to help, we greatly appreciate gifts and donations. They will assist with the costs of the trip and cremation. We are so grateful to everyone who contributed to our first trip. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts, prayers, and those who visited us at home.
Last night, my brother called to tell me that his stepson passed away unexpectedly around 8 PM. My sister-in-law, Angie, has been devastated by the loss of her son. Our family is also trying to cope with the impending loss of another family member, so hearing about my nephew's passing during this already difficult time is overwhelming. If you pray, please keep our family in your thoughts.
I am setting up this fundraiser to help Angie fly to South Carolina as soon as possible to see her son one last time and say goodbye before he is cremated. Your donations will go toward airfare, hotel, and food expenses while she is there. Please consider contributing to help ease her worries during this very challenging time, so she can say goodbye to her son and let him rest peacefully.
Rest in peace, Jeffery Curtis South. May the breeze carry your soul into Heaven’s light.
