Andre Butoyi is the Spiritual Integration Manager for HOPE Burundi and has been an influential and integral part of the HOPE International network. Andre’s role at HOPE Burundi has focused on serving local church partners through training & equipping pastors, providing access to resources for spiritual development, and strengthening the vision of savings groups as a ministry of the church. Those who have worked with Andre know him for his deep desire and passion to empower local church leaders with an integral approach to the mission and ministry if the church.
On August 22, 2023, Andre suffered a serious medical event that left him partially paralyzed and needing intensive care. We are grateful to God for the ways He has already provided and brought healing to Andre which has been seen in restoration of his body such as his ability to hear and speak again. While improvements seem to be gradual, we are confident that God will continue to hear our prayers as we desire to see full restoration of strength to Andre’s body.
Andre is still facing many challenges including difficulty with daily activities such as walking and speaking and has a long road to recovery ahead. Currently, Andre is receiving kinesiotherapy treatment 2-3 times per week, as well as other medical care, some of which is not covered by insurance. To help ensure Andre has access to the best care possible, we are inviting HOPE staff and friends of HOPE to give a financial gift to the Andre and the Butoyi family.
