Our hearts are shattered as we share this. On December 28 at 1am our parents recently lost their home of 30 years in a devastating house fire. In a matter of minutes, everything they built, cherished, and called home was completely destroyed.
This wasn’t just a house — it was where holidays were celebrated, milestones were marked, and decades of memories were made. Every photo, keepsake, piece of furniture, and personal belonging was lost. There was nothing that could be saved.
Tragically, they also lost two beloved pets in the fire. These animals were family, constant companions who brought so much love and comfort into their lives. The grief of losing them, on top of losing their home, is something no one should have to endure.
Right now, our parents are facing the overwhelming reality of starting over from nothing — clothing, essentials, housing, and the long road toward rebuilding their lives. While they are incredibly grateful to be alive, the emotional and financial impact is enormous.
We are asking for help during this unimaginable time. Any donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward immediate needs like temporary housing, clothing, daily essentials, and eventually helping them rebuild a place to call home again. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser means just as much.
Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support. It truly means more than words can express.
With gratitude, The Kollman’s
