One year ago, Rachel made the bravest decision of her life.
After walking through the pits of hell, surviving domestic trauma, heartbreak, and hitting rock bottom in addiction as she tried to numb years of pain, she chose to fight.
When she lost her boys, it became the wake-up call that changed everything.
From that moment forward, Rachel gave it everything she had. She went to rehab, completed every program asked of her, attended parenting classes, counseling, workshops, and support groups, and has gone above and beyond everything CPS has required. On top of that, she has worked a full-time job, remained the loving and devoted mother she has always been deep in her heart, and is now pouring everything she has into making her home a safe, beautiful place for her boys.
On the 14th, Rachel celebrates ONE YEAR SOBER. đ
That is one full year of choosing healing over hurt, strength over struggle, and purpose over pain.
I could not be more proud of the woman and mother she has become. Rachel is beautiful, loving, strong, courageous, and an inspiration to anyone who has ever had to fight their way back from darkness. She loves her boys with her whole heart, and her greatest dream is to give them the peaceful, loving home they deserve.
She is still working on a few things in her home and rebuilding life piece by piece, so I would love for us to come together and shower her with love, support, and encouragement as she steps into this incredible milestone.
