On the morning of July 4th, everything changed with a single phone call. My mom's voice carried the words I never expected to hear—my sister, Tawny, was gone. She didn’t wake up. This loss is an ache that fills every quiet moment, a profound emptiness that seems impossible to bear. Tawny wasn't just my sister; she was my confidante and anchor. Her kindness and warmth reached everyone she met, and she had this incredible ability to accept people exactly as they were. Without her, our family feels unmoored, struggling to find solid ground amid the waves of grief.
Tawny was the heart of our family, holding us together through life's challenges with her selflessness and love. As we attempt to navigate life without her, we want to honor her memory by celebrating her life in the same spirit she lived it. She leaves behind two daughters and seven grandchildren, each carrying forward her spirit and love. We hope to gather everyone whose lives she touched for a memorial, but making arrangements feels overwhelming in our grief. From her Facebook page, we'll share more details as we have them.
In the meantime, if you feel so inclined to make a donation of any kind, anything is appreciated and will go towards her funeral expenses and her children
