As most of you know my family got stuck in Jamaica during Hurricane Melissa. It was complete devastation and incredibly heartbreaking. But the resilience, hard work, and love that we witnessed was miraculous. We became very close to many Jamaicans and the majority of them that are our family now lost absolutely everything. I have experienced heartbreak on many levels. This crushed me on in an entirely different way. I truly believe it’s because these beautiful humans made such an imprint on my life that I know in my heart I have to help. If I didn’t have my own children to care for, a job to come home to, doggies waiting on me, I honestly would have stayed. I will do anything it takes to help this incredible island recover.
