Today, I faced an unexpected challenge when the location where I worked in Comstock Park closed down, leaving me without a job. My phone, which I rely on for job searches and interviews, is unusable due to a broken screen. This is going to be a major setback in staying connected with potential employers.
Adding to the stress, our central air conditioning stopped working and it is currently 94 degrees inside my home. My two children, our four cats, and I are struggling to cope with the oppressive heat in our home. This situation has become urgent, and I’m doing my best to manage both finding new work and ensuring my family is safe and comfortable. I need $500 to cover the costs of a new phone and the necessary repairs for our AC. I have tried to contact many different agencies to help with the repairs of the AC but b/c I live in a mobile home that isn’t attached to a foundation, I have been denied the help.
