My daughter Angelina is incredibly bright and intelligent. Whenever I can, I try to expose her to experiences that will encourage her growth and curiousity. We recently found out about the Pre College program at Duke and she's excited about the chance to learn about one of her favorite topics from this school year (DNA) on a college campus! She'll be living in the dorms and eating on campus for 12 days. This is a great chance for her to not only grow academically but emotionally by staying away from home.
If I could bless her with this opportunity I would, but as a single mom and K-12 teacher, it's just not a possibility at the moment. I always want to pull through for her if at all possible so this is my shot in the dark.
Tuition is 6,050.00 and the 250.00 will cover any incidentals she needs for her stay plus gas there. (Or maybe just gas there look at gas prices these days! lol) She is currently waitlisted for this session but if she doesn't come off the waitlist, funds will be placed in savings and applied to next year's program.
