Hello! My name is Giana LaReau, I am 15 years old and I am working toward riding in the AQHA Youth World Championships in August 2025 in Oklahoma City.
What started out as "just for fun" for me has turned into a passion. I truly love showing horses and if possible, I'd love to continue my riding journey through college. One of the steps to help me get there is to ride at the Youth World Show for the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA).

I have been riding for the last 9 years in 4-H and in AQHA. I ride with Nemmers Performance Horses, and I couldn't be where I am today without them!
I have had a few partners in my journey (Josie and Zee and Glitter). Thanks to all of them, each has given me the opportunity to learn and grow.
Currently, Glitter and I are working toward the World Show. I am very optimistic and hopeful we will have great success this year. We are still getting to know each other, but we have already made great progress and are having success at showing together. I would love the opportunity to go with her to the World Show stage while we are on our upward journey.
How I will practice getting to Worlds: I will ride in some bigger shows in Las Vegas and hopefully in Scottsdale, AZ.
**Update!!**
I went to Scottsdale for the Suncircuit and earned 28 POINTS in Reining, Ranch Riding and Ranch Trail events.
**** We just returned from Las Vegas from the L1 Championships and Glitter and I had unbelievable success in Reining as we placed 1st, 3rd in Ranch riding and 4th in Ranch trail.***
I usually train 3-4 times a week on my own horse as well as training on unfamiliar horses to advance my horsemanship through the IEA program (Interscholastic Equestrian Association).
IEA has the same format as college riding in that you don't ride your own horse in competition. Each rider "draws" a horse for the class and without a traditional warmup, the rider shows the horse in the class. It's definitely difficult, but I really enjoy the challenge.
Our IEA regionals show was also very successful for me, as I am now qualified to compete at the National Finals in June in Ft Worth!
**UPDATE** My trip to Fort Worth for IEA Nationals was amazing. I placed 6th in the Nation for Horsemanship and 1st in Reining!

I am having an incedible show year. However there are expenses to consider on this path. I would really appreciate any support to help me on my journey to become the most successful horseman I can be, and possibly get an opportunity to be seen on the World stage to further my equine resume.
Thank you so much for your time and support!! I really appreciate it!
