My cat Mac has just been diagnosed with FIP (feline infectious peritonitis). FIP is essentially a mutated form of Covid in cats that damages blood cells, and proteins. He has been having throwing up episodes since January, and as of the last 3-4 weeks, not really touching his food. He was on antibiotics for a short time for a respiratory infection, which did help. However, the antibiotics have ran out and he has since further declined. FIP is a treatable disease, however, treatment costs upwards of $1,000. I'm a college student so I'm already limited on my spending, and I've also spent over $1,000 on vet visits so far. Him having this disease is placing a really difficult burden on me. if you can help at all, even the slightest it'd be so very much appreciated. He's my emotional support animal, and I really don't want to lose him. He does so much for me and is very loved by my family, and everyone who meets him. He's a very sweet and friendly boy. He loves to play, chew wires, eat your hair, cuddle, and all the more. As of the last few weeks I have not seen that side of my baby boy, and I truly miss it.
update: Mac has unfortunately passed due to his health complications, so I've closed the gofundme. Thank you so much to everyone who donated, as the funds will now be used for his cremation.
