I find myself in a situation I never anticipated, reaching out to my community here in Greenville, North Carolina. Life threw us an unexpected curveball, and we're struggling to keep up. Our son, who brightens every day with his passion for sports, is in a tough spot. He’s had to consider stepping back from what he loves, and it breaks my heart to see him struggle, knowing how much joy it brings him. As his parents, we are doing everything possible—working overtime, juggling bills, and ensuring he gets the therapy he needs to stay positive and hopeful.
Balancing rent, utilities, and groceries while supporting our son's mental health feels overwhelming at times. Yet, each small victory and every smile he shares reminds me why we keep pushing forward. We’ve been trying to shoulder this burden alone, but we realize that sometimes, it’s okay to ask for help. This close-knit town has always felt like home to us, and I am reaching out with the hope that your kindness can help us pave a more secure path forward.
