Donate to show your solidarity with UIS Civil Service Staff and Tenured/Tenure Track faculty!

We have all been working without a contract since August 16, 2025. After regular bargaining sessions with UIS management from July 2025-January 2026, we requested mediation. On March 19th we voted to authorize a strike.

To date, the University of Illinois’ proposals would take back hard earned wins that make it possible for faculty to do their job with dignity.

We are simply asking the University to pay faculty and staff fair wages and to stop trying to take back the rights we won during our last contract.

For some of our faculty and staff, a strike could lead to financial challenges. To that end, the Union has authorized an Emergency Strike Fund to be prepared to help striking members meet their short-term financial needs.

This is the time to extend a helping hand. We need you to pitch in so that we are ready to act as needed. Funds will be used to support striking faculty and staff facing hardship. Any unused funds will be donated to our FAST Fund that provides emergency grants to students.

Any amount, big or small, will be appreciated by those eligible for aid. The amount we raise determines the amount we can help.
