Over our 17 yrs together we have survived a cat 5 hurricane Michael, we have survived me flat lining twice and Being in a coma for a week due to mold induced pneumonia, moving from Florida to Kentucky to care for my mom who had stage4 colon cancer, my mother in law dying and then my dad dying this year.  2026 has not been kind to our family.  My wife lost her job out of the blue w zero warning (she’s had that job almost 4 yrs and has NEVER been fired before and it took her by surprise so she’s going through a bout of depression right now), we buried my Dad the very next day, then got iced in 2 days later. Our daughter was admitted to the hospital a month ago for emergency appendix removal and then 2 weeks ago I collapsed on the floor and had to have an ambulance take me to the hospital. I had 2 good sized kidney stones. I’ve missed so much work from that and being diagnosed with chf. I’m being garnished for hospital bills.. My wife was denied unemployment so she’s appealing the decision but it’s not happening quick enough.We owe late fees for last month plus April rent & $10 a day late fees.  Plus lights are scheduled for disconnecting and my car note about to be repoed over $109.  We really need help and don’t know what else to do. The few places that help in town have no funds. My wife has been applying everywhere but for the first time ever she’s struggling to find work which isn’t helping with her depression and anxiety or our situation and we don’t qualify for food stamps. We’re at risk of being homeless with our 16 yr old and our 8 yr old dog. We feel like failures and have never been this close to homelessness. Please help if you can, I promise we’ll be forever grateful.
