She Beat Breast Cancer—Now She Needs Help Healing

Hi, my name is Heather, and I’m creating this fundraiser for my close friend Rose as she recovers from breast cancer and faces ongoing medical and financial challenges. I’m stepping in to help share her story during a time when she’s focused on healing.

 

A few months ago, Rose’s life changed in ways no one could have prepared for.

 

Just before being diagnosed with breast cancer, she lost her job when the business she worked for shut down. Within weeks, she went from trying to stay financially stable… to fighting for her health.

 

In January, Rose underwent a double mastectomy with reconstruction. She got through it with incredible strength—but healing hasn’t been simple.

 

Recovery is ongoing. She’s still attending regular oncology appointments and physical therapy, and her body is working hard to catch up after everything it’s been through.

 

What many people don’t see is how hard life becomes in the after.

 

While Medicaid has helped cover her medical care, it doesn’t cover everyday essentials.

Right now, Rose is facing a level of financial strain that no one should have to carry while healing:

 

• Her bank account is in the negative

• Bills are close to going to collections

• She’s struggling to afford basic needs like proper nutrition and everyday essentials

 

She is doing everything she can to stay on track with her recovery, with the goal of returning to work in the next couple of months—but she needs help getting there.
