On Wednesday, our world changed.
Our beautiful friend, daughter, sister, and mother, Kailey, suffered an unexpected Pulmonary Embolism that led to Cardiac Arrest and is on her journey to a long road of recovery. She has been in the ICU since Wednesday, September 30 and is currently on life support, while her family and loved ones remain by her side, praying and giving her comfort.
Kailey is the kind of person who is always there for everyone else. She has the biggest heart and has a way of holding people up when they are at their lowest. She is the person who checks in, shows up, gives endlessly, and somehow finds a way to take care of everyone around her, even when she should be taking care of herself. She also has the best laugh and most contagious little giggle—the kind that makes everyone around her smile. We miss that giggle more than words can say, and we can't wait to have it back in our lives.
Most importantly, Kailey is a mom to two beautiful babies, Elsie and Lillie. Right now, her family is facing the unimaginable while also trying to make sure her girls are cared for and surrounded by love.
We are asking for help because right now, the focus needs to be on Kailey.
Donations will help with the many unexpected expenses that come with a crisis like this, with childcare for Elsie and Lillie being one of the most immediate needs, as well as daily necessities, medical-related expenses, and other costs her family may face while they remain by Kailey’s side.
If you know Kailey, you know how deeply she loves and cares for the people in her life. She has spent so much of her life being the person others could lean on. Now, it is our turn to hold her up.
If you can help financially, your contribution will help give her family some stability during an incredibly uncertain time. Every bit of support allows them to keep showing up for Kailey and Elsie and Lillie without having to carry the financial weight of everything else.
And if you can’t contribute financially, that’s okay. Love, prayers, and simply helping us get the word out are meaningful too.
Kailey has spent her life being there for everyone else. Right now, she needs us to be there for her. ❤️
