Joey Pettine's debut horror novel, Sid, launches Friday, March 13th, and his next novel, Troop 13, isn't far behind it.

- Initial funds will be used to pay living, breathing artists - Stephen McAndrews and Kenny Dobson - who are working to bring the monsters of Joey's mind from the printed page to gory illustrated life.
- Once artists have been properly paid, funds will be utilized to print physical copies of each book for distribution and display.
- After that, a small amount will be used to maintain a website and e-store to sell Joey's first two books and beyond.
- Finally, any remaining funds will be used for convention costs such as reserving space, material needed, travel, etc.
Meet The Author: Joey Pettine
Joey Pettine is a lifelong lover of monsters whose contributions to the horror genre include a series of survive-the-night immersive horror experiences under Dark Hills Gaming, work featured in horror RPGs Smorgasborg and The Sky Is Falling for The Flagellant And The Fool, an appearance on scary story podcast Real Chills, hosting Scary Stories To Pod In The Dark, the short horror play The Lot which was nominated for the John Cauble Short Play Award, and a horror-themed charity, The Bloody Valentine Ball, for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Joey has an MFA in Writing from Long Island University and was a finalist for both the Disney/ABC and Nickelodeon Writing Fellowships. Joey became a father in 2016 and Sid is very much inspired by his brilliant daughter, Lily, as well as the nighttime fears that plague all parents.
Meet The Cover Artist: Stephen McAndrews
Stephen McAndrews is a local artist whose amazing work can be viewed under the pseudonym MunkenDronkey. Last year, Stephen worked to create the beautiful cover for the indie RPG, Travels Through Time. (Seen below.) Stephen will be utilizing his talents to channel the spirit of classic horror film posters for both Sid and Troop 13. Initial funds donated will go toward paying Stephen for his amazing work.
Meet The Illustrator: Kenny Dobson
A girl scout troop on a camping trip must utilize everything they've ever learned about survival when they are hunted by the masked maniac known as The Axe Man.
Not knowing the dark history of the camp, the Lily Scouts of New York City journey to Camp Bell for a weekend of camping of fun. Their weekend is quickly interrupted by an invading boy scout troop and their aggressive scout leader. Things get even worse when the Axe Man, a killer who stalks the dark forests surrounding Camp Bell, once again dons his bloodstained mask and becomes hell bent on hunting the girls down. The girls fight to survive as the Axe Man hunts them through the forest, leaving a trail of blood and bodies in his wake.
