Help Us Fight for Mayson
This GoFundMe is for my best friends sweet boy, Mayson. We are reaching out with heavy hearts and desperate hope as we face something no parent ever wants to face.
Yesterday, Sam received devastating news: Mayson has a massive tumor in the very center of his brain—growing off the tip of his spinal cord. Its size and location are affecting his brain and spinal cord in critical ways, blocking spinal fluid and putting enormous pressure on the most vital part of his body—his "internal computer," the part of the brain that controls every function needed to live.
We still don’t know what kind of tumor it is. That won’t be clear until after the surgery. What we do know is that this surgery will be life-altering. It’s expected to last at least 8 hours and comes with enormous risks, but without it, this tumor will take her son’s life.
The images from Mayson’s MRI are something she will never forget—something no parent should have to see. She wishes she could share them, but to protect Mayson’s privacy and abide by hospital rules, she can’t. Still, I need you to understand just how serious this is. The doctors, especially the neurosurgeon—who has over 40 years of experience—have been honest and compassionate. He has stayed by their side and reassured them that this surgery is Mayson's only chance.
Right now, their family is completely broken. She is scared. She is exhausted. She misses her sweet 9-month-old baby girl at home, who she has never been away from overnight until now. They don’t know how long they will be in the hospital—weeks, maybe months. They are living in uncertainty, doing everything they can to stay strong for Mayson.
That’s why we’re asking for help.
This GoFundMe will help cover:
- Medical expenses and treatments
- Travel and food while we’re away from home
- Care items for our baby girl
- Bills and necessities while I’m unable to work
We are standing on faith, leaning on prayer, and hoping for a miracle. Mayson is her planned, loved, angel baby—her saving grace. She would do anything to take his place. Watching him go through this is unbearable, but they are staying strong for him.
Please, pray for Mayson. Share his story. If you’re able to donate, know that every dollar makes a difference. Your love, support, and prayers are whats keeping them going.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you.
