Early Aug 2024, my best friend’s son, Jamie, was diagnosed with an aggressive yet inoperable brain tumor. A seemingly healthy boy, less than 2 months from turning 18 - enjoying his senior year of high school, now spends his time fighting to maintain basic body functions such as walking and speaking clearly.
The next steps are an aggressive regiment of radiation and countless medications to hopefully prevent the tumor from metastasizing around Jamie’s body with a small chance of reducing its size.
His positivity is a beacon in this troubling time he has every intention of destroying this threat (which he’s so endearingly nicknamed “Brian the Brain Tumor”).
Jamie has plans to join the Air Force, and becoming a contractor and building homes and skyscrapers (always reaching for the sky 🤩). He's ambitious as shown by being student body president at his high school, and maintaining a job. He loves football and was First Team all league defensive lineman 2023 at 115lbs, exhibiting his strength by tossing around other players almost twice his weight, contributing to being named Team MVP!
Jamie is one of 4 siblings, and this family is going through so much, but it’s very hard to make money while sitting at the bedside in the hospital. I am asking for anything that will help ensure this family of 6 has food and basic bills paid in the meantime while they endure this unknown few months ahead. Any thing will help!
